Sassda BEE strategy

The BEE/SME strategies are aimed at a broad-based economic empowerment of black persons - a generic term, which means indigenous Africans, Coloureds and Indians in our country. This is done to facilitate growth, development and stability in our economy.

The understanding of SME should be clear enough in that SME is an inclusive term for both black and white entrepreneurial business in general. This strategy is based on the importance of a partnership approach to achieve BEE implementation in the stainless steel industry. The strategy is based on the philosophy that we all need to understand the imperatives that drives the country today, namely economics and social needs. The government is promoting growth, development and sustainability of the economy; this is also true to the stainless steel industry.
